Question Number 2: Will the tens of thousands of dollars needed to put your children or grandchildren through college be available when they are ready to go? Do you have a “Plan B” in place just in case something happens?
Question Number 3: Do you have enough money set aside for your retirement years? Or will you have to work until your health gives out? Do you have a “Plan B” that assures you the money will be there?
Question Number 4: What about your healthcare? Are you afraid to get sick and if you do, Do you have a “Plan B” that will provide the monies needed to take care of the out of pocket expenses?
What
are your responses to these questions above? In light of the economic valley
many are in at this time, I felt led to visit them and I know we need some hope
for better days ahead. The impact of these economic times are affecting each of
us. What is our hope
? A few examples, Elijah spoke
a drought and famine over Samaria because of the worship of Baal and the sins of
King Ahab, 1 Kings 17 - please read it for help to your faith and hope for your
spirit. The recession/depression lasted for 3 ½ years. I don’t know how long
this season we are passing through will last but because of the way God took
care of Elijah, we who walk in prophetic obedience to God should take hope in
how God provided for him.
I Samuel 22:1,2 shows us how we can turn our obscure circumstances into opportunities for family blessing. “David therefore departed thence and escaped to the cave Adullam; and when his brethren and all his father’s house heard it, they went down thither to him. And every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and everyone that was discontented, gathered themselves unto him; and he became a captain over them; and there were with him about 400 men” KJV.
I
don’t believe the mortgage challenge nor the unstableness of the stock market
are sole economic challenges. The Obama Election, on the heels of these
striking events, marks a season renewal for our country and the world. As a
theologian or
one who studies the movement of God
through the prism of the Word, I believe in God centered and word centered
answers.

Are members of your family dealing with distress, debt and discontentment? Note four key points in the I Samuel text. It says that David escaped to the ‘Cave’ and became a ‘captain’ over them”. Those who are dealing with foreclosures and bankruptcy need a captain in this cave time. Cave time is to be turned into “class time” and provide lessons for renewal out of the cave. This is the role of the “captain”, exact a new discipline and march out of this cave with new principles to be practiced. Keep practicing the principles and you will be led to admire the “cathedral” which has been created out of the cave. Renewed faith, more focused prayers and lives poised for new beginnings are assured resolves coming out of the cave with a new cathedral mindset. As a captain, I ask you to access your answers to the questions at the top of this Family Inspiration, now let me challenge you from the word of the Lord !!!
I speak to the “captain” in you. You have family members who listen to you. Speak life to them during this cave time for your family. Encourage them and tell them to pass some encouragement on to others. Here is one encouragement to pass on, please read John 1:35-51. John the Baptist starts the greatest pass-it-on you can ever pass on. It is the life giving pass-it-on, it is the story of Jesus and His love. Let a “new covenant” embrace you as a result of this cave.
This economic wind is blowing globally with specific faith implications for each of us. “You obeyed my message and endured. So I will protect you from the time of testing that everyone in all the world must go through” Rev. 3:10 CEV. Obey the message and endure, be assured of God’s protection in it. We have a prophetic message for you and your family. Thank You for visiting our site. I know it is a positive Legacy Message we can follow to lead us through and out of this test time.
God Bless
